METANOIA — Press Release
Exhibition Opens at Masterworks Museum, Bermuda 07 November – 02 December 2025
Hamilton, Bermuda — Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art is pleased to present METANOIA, a solo exhibition by British-Bermudian artist Charles Harrop-Griffiths. Opening November 7, 2025, the exhibition explores transformation, consciousness, and the boundaries between physical and digital realms through an ambitious series of large-scale works combining traditional and emerging media.
About the Exhibition
METANOIA takes its name from the ancient Greek concept meaning "a transformative change of heart" or "transcendence." The exhibition features eleven major works created specifically for the Masterworks Museum space, inviting viewers to contemplate cycles of change, renewal, and the evolving nature of perception in the digital age.
Harrop-Griffiths' practice bridges painting, digital fabrication, and immersive installation. The works on display range from monumental paintings to hybrid sculptural pieces that incorporate light, reflection, and subtle technological interventions. Each piece serves as a threshold—an invitation to pause, observe, and perhaps experience a shift in understanding.
The exhibition also features an experimental 3D virtual gallery, allowing remote visitors to explore the works in a navigable digital environment. This parallel presentation reflects the artist's ongoing interest in how technology shapes the way we encounter art and each other.
